Healthy Relationship Peer Education Scholarship Opportunity!

American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth enrolled in high school between ages 14 and 18 are invited to apply for a scholarship opportunity offered through the American Indian Health Service of Chicago, Inc’s Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative.  Two youth members will be selected to participate in a healthy relationship peer education training program offered by Between Friends that will take place in Summer 2017.  With the skills obtained in this training, the selected youth will go on to provide peers with education on healthy relationships.

  • Peer Education Training will occur over the course of 1 week.
  • Selected youth will be responsible for providing at least 2 educational presentations to peer groups during the 2017-2018 academic year.
  • Scholarship includes a $500 stipend and paid expenses to attend training.
