Values and Philosophy
Self-discovery is a process. Sometimes that process can bring to the surface emotions and feelings that we have buried deep. I recognize that it is a privilege to bear witness to others stories. You know yourself best. I am here to provide support, encouragement, and guidance as you work towards exploring your strengths and your challenges and identifying how to move towards living the life that you choose.
Training and Experience
I received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000. My early career focused on children and families. I provided support and advocacy to foster families, first time parents, and children enrolled in Early Intervention services. I returned to school and received a Master of Social Work from Aurora University in 2009. After receiving my Master’s I worked providing mental health and substance abuse services to adults through community outreach, drop-in-centers, and a hospital setting.
