Erum Qureshi, APRN, DNP, RN, BSN, Diabetes Nurse Educator
Dr. Erum Qureshi is Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) who has been working in the healthcare field for the past 15 years. As AIHSC’s Diabetes Nurse Educator, she brings extensive experience in patient education, diabetes management, and holistic health with expertise in chronic disease management, patient education, and culturally competent care to improve health outcomes for diverse populations.
Dr. Qureshi pursued her Doctorate in Nursing from Rush University Medical Center and has specialized in culturally sensitive methods of educating on diabetes and obesity prevention. After realizing that much of the health disparities are present due to the lack of understanding and treatment of the root causes, she started to pursue further education in traditional method of healing. She is currently studying alternative methods of healing from CUTAM institute in the UK.
In addition to her clinical experience, she has also done multiple medical missions globally including in Morocco with Operation Smile and in Gambia with IMANA. Erum has travelled to many different countries and interacted with people from many different cultures and backgrounds. She has been a dedicated volunteer and volunteer coordinator at Taleef Collective for the past 6 years. One of Erum’s biggest passions in life is to bring health and wellness into the lives of every person through a wholistic method of care that is interdisciplinary and collaborative.
