AIHSC Continues to Grow to Meet Chicago’s Native American Community Needs!

AIHSC has expanded its facilities in the last year. This expansion includes a dedicated behavioral health working space, offices, reception and lobby for the Behavioral Health Clinic. We’ve also added an activity space for social and community events. In addition AIHSC has opened a new fitness facility at the clinic we call 4 Direction Fitness. AIHSC looks to expand its healthcare, fitness and wellness programs to utilize these new working and community spaces to provide greater services to our community.

AIHSC Mission

The mission of the American Indian Health Service of Chicago is dedicated to providing qualified and culturally based healthcare to the American Indian
and Alaska Native community and other underserved populations in the greater Chicagoland area.

AIHSC Values

AIHSC’s Board of Directors believe that our core values begin with “leadership by example” and that these values create a balance between how work is done and the people doing the work. These values are guides for making decisions, setting priorities and the direction we take leading into the future of expanded healthcare delivery for all people who may need our assistance.

About Our Values

1: Compassion in our conviction of providing the best culturally appropriate care for our patients, clients and community.
2: Integrity in taking accountability for our actions and adhering to the highest ethical standards in all of our professional obligations and personal responsibilities.
3: Excellence is our goal; to be the best at what we do and set high expectations for each of us individually and for our community as a whole.
4: Empowerment lets employees be more engaged & excited about what they do. Empowering patients/clients allocates a sense of control that is often lost in healthcare, which is founded on patient/client interactions.
