Dr. Vonnise R. Hussey, DNP, APN, FNP-BC, FPA is a Full Practice Authority Doctorate-prepared Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has developed a foundation for managing a variety of healthcare concerns from delivering care to children to caring for the elderly. 

 

Dr. Hussey has overseen a variety of health issues and illnesses while proving preventive care to all ages. She began her career as a Registered Nurse working extensively in areas of healthcare such as the Pediatric ICU, Medical Surgical units, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and a number of specialty areas. This experience has earned her immeasurable knowledge for treating minor illnesses to chronic care illnesses across a diverse population. 

 

Dr. Hussey is passionate about the health of others and is an advocate for the healthcare needs of everyone which includes a focus on health education and literacy while strengthening the community to promote their best quality of life. 

 

Dr. Hussey received her RN degree from Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing. Undergraduate and graduate degrees from Chamberlain University. She has been a practicing Advanced Practice Nurse for 6 years and continues to grow professionally.  

 

Dr. Hussey strives for strong collaborative patient and provider relationships to promote interactive, individualized personal healthcare while building trusting relationship to address patient needs. 

 

Dr. Hussey enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, hiking in state parks (especially the natural bridge in Slade, KY) , traveling (flight and road trips) and relaxing to promote positive mental health.
