Group Facilitators: Peter Kim

All men are invited to join our Men’s Talking Circle. This twice-monthly circle will provide a comfortable forum for men to share their feelings, gain perspective, find support, and connect with others. You are not alone.

AIHSC’s Peter Kim facilitates this safe and supportive group to help you cope when you have trouble finding answers. This group meets from 6:00-7:30 pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Open to men of all ages and backgrounds. This Men’s Talking Circle creates a safe space for you to heal, listen, teach, share, and empower each other! Attendance is free.

About Peter Kim, Therapist, CADC, LSW, CCATP
Peter is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), CCATP (Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional), and CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor). He was born in South Korea and immigrated here at the age of 4 to the city of Chicago. Peter is a behavioral therapist well-versed in DBT, CBT, ACT, and Psychodynamic therapy modalities. He does not believe in a one size fits all approach and wants to tailor treatment to the person rather than conformity to an ideology. Peter has experience working with all age groups as well as experience with treating people with ranging mental health conditions. His philosophy is to save lives at all costs. He is a fierce advocate for harm reduction in substance use treatment, with a heart to reduce the stigma around substance use and the misconceptions about the people involved.
