The core of AIHSC work is comprehensive primary care for individuals of all ages and at all stages of life. Our integrated approach provides for the multi-faceted needs of patients, especially for those with more complex needs. Recognizing the importance of behavioral healthcare in primary care, AIHS has an integrated model of behavioral health and primary care. Interdisciplinary practice and teamwork is an essential element of our planned care.
Primary Health Care Services Include:
- ^Chronic disease management for asthma, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, heart disease, progressive lung disease, and obesity
- ^Women services: pelvic exams, PAP smear, mammogram referral and pregnancy testing
- ^Cancer screenings
- ^Physical exams
- ^Anxiety and depression screenings
- ^Vaccinations
- ^Smoking cessation
- ^Sexually transmitted diseases
- ^Referrals for specialty care
- ^Access to discounted meds through 340B program
- ^Discounted labs for uninsured or underinsured patients
- ^Free labs for uninsured American Indians/Alaskan Natives
- ^STI/HIV/HCV testing (NOT rapid results usually within 24-48 hours)

- ^Well child exams
- ^Care for all ages (newborn – 18 year old)
- ^Immunizations
- ^Urgent care
- ^Tuberculosis (TB) screening
